Scope breakdown
GHG Protocol Scopes
Scope 1 · Direct (owned sources)
Scope 2 · Indirect (purchased energy)
Scope 3 · Value chain (15 categories)
The proportion of the group's calculated footprint attributable to each scope. Shares partition the same total the Calculated Footprint band above reports.
Assumptions
A scope with no calculated result shows a dash, not a zero: a confirmed zero and a missing calculation are different claims.
Source: the calculated results, the same calculation as above, not a separate read
Contribution by entity Where the footprint actually is Each bar is what was calculated at that entity, split by GHG Protocol scope. A parent never repeats its children, so the bars partition the group total exactly. ⚠ This is not a rolled-up figure. A rolled-up total counts a company with everything under it; this chart counts only what was recorded at the company itself. Both partition the same group total, so a holding company is large rolled up and small here. Read the label before quoting either. The label at each bar end gives that entity's share and the running cumulative share. Source: calculated results in CO2e, checked against the calculation's own total before drawing
Footprint over time One bar per reporting period, split by scope Every bar is a separate calculation run read from the ledger. Nothing here is interpolated and nothing is summed in the browser. Switching to Year reads the engine's own annual runs rather than adding the months up. A period with no successful run leaves a gap and is counted underneath. It is never drawn as zero: "not calculated" and "emitted nothing" are different claims. Source: calculated totals, one point per period and scope
Calculated totals · never interpolated
Carbon beside water The two footprints rank facilities differently Left arm = carbon, right arm = water. Each bar is a share of its own footprint's total, which is the only honest way two different units can share one axis. Blue and grey water are never added. Blue is water removed from a catchment; grey is the water that would be needed to dilute what was discharged. A missing bar means no result exists for that entity, not a footprint of zero. Blue is computed wherever a withdrawal, a water bill or a supply-network balance was delivered; grey wherever effluent quality was. The years differ by site, so the water arm shows whatever this period holds. Every year at once: Footprint Explorer, Water. Source: calculated results · WFN volumetric blue and grey water footprint (Manual Eq. 2.6 for grey) · grey diluted to the UWWTD directive minimum, not to the plant's own permit (WFN defines cmax as the receiving water's ambient standard: open method question)
Share of each footprint's own total

…Financed Emissions Financed Emissions (tCO2e) = Σ (AUMi / Revenuei) × Emissionsi PCAF methodology: your share of each issuer's emissions, proportional to your investment relative to their revenue. Intensity (tCO2e / $M AUM) = Financed Emissions / Total AUM Carbon efficiency of your portfolio. Lower = cleaner per dollar invested.
Emission Intensity Emission Intensity (tCO2e / $M Revenue) = Scope 1 + 2 Emissions / Annual Revenue Carbon efficiency per dollar of business. Lower = cleaner operations per unit of economic output.
